Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
AIForOil.com ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to respecting your privacy and keeping secure any information we obtain from or about you. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect personal data when you use our website and services, including the AI Assistant (collectively, "Services").
Our Terms of Service govern your use of the Services. We recommend reading both documents.
1. Personal data we collect
We collect personal data ("Personal Data") as follows:
Data you provide
- Account information: When you sign up, we collect information such as your email address and account credentials. If your organization uses a custom attribute (e.g., organization ID), we use it to associate your account with your organization.
- User content: We receive the prompts and queries you submit to the AI Assistant, and any context you provide (e.g., selected regulation sections). This content is used to generate responses. Conversation history is stored only on your device (e.g., in your browser) until you clear it; we do not currently store conversation history on our servers.
- Communications: If you contact us (e.g., by email), we may collect your name, contact details, and the content of your messages.
- Waitlist signups: If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address to notify you when the product is available to more users. We use this only for that purpose unless you later consent to additional communications.
Data we receive from your use of the Services
- Log and usage data: We collect information your browser or device sends when you use our Services, such as IP address, browser type, date and time of requests, and how you interact with the Services (e.g., features used, actions taken).
- Device information: We may collect information about the device you use (e.g., operating system, device identifiers) to operate and secure the Services.
- Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Services, maintain your session, and improve your experience. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser.
2. How we use personal data
We use Personal Data to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our Services (e.g., to respond to your AI Assistant queries; conversation history is stored on your device so you can see it during your session).
- Improve and develop our Services (e.g., to improve search and model performance, subject to applicable settings and agreements).
- Communicate with you (e.g., to respond to support requests or send important notices about the Services).
- Protect the security and integrity of our systems and Services, and to prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, privacy, safety, or property of our users, AIForOil.com, or third parties.
We may aggregate or de-identify Personal Data so it no longer identifies you, and use that information for analytics, improvement, and research. We do not sell your Personal Data.
3. Disclosure of personal data
We may disclose Personal Data in these circumstances:
- Service providers: We work with vendors who help us operate the Services (e.g., hosting, cloud infrastructure, analytics). They access or process Personal Data only as needed to perform services for us and under contractual obligations.
- Legal and safety: We may disclose Personal Data if required by law, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect our rights or property, protect the safety of users or the public, or address fraud or abuse.
- Business transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your Personal Data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
Data may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards for any cross-border transfers where required by law.
4. Retention
We retain Personal Data only as long as needed to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or comply with legal obligations.
- Conversation history: Stored only on your device (e.g., in your browser storage) until you clear it. We do not retain it on our servers.
- Account and other data we store: When you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we will remove or anonymize your Personal Data from our systems within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it for legal or legitimate operational reasons.
- Logs: Our systems and service providers generate logs (e.g., for security and operations). We avoid including your full query content or other personal data in logs where practicable. Logs are retained for a limited period under our or our providers' retention settings. They are not individually deletable per user; if we need to retain logs for security or legal reasons, we do so in accordance with applicable law.
5. Your rights and choices
Data controls. You have choices over your data: you can clear conversation history on your device (e.g., via "New chat" or browser data settings); you can manage cookie preferences in your browser; and you can contact us to delete your account or exercise other rights below.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access or receive a copy of your Personal Data.
- Correct or update your Personal Data.
- Request deletion of your Personal Data.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format).
- Withdraw consent where we rely on it.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
A note about accuracy. Our AI Assistant generates responses by reading your request and predicting likely next words based on the content it has been given. In some cases, the most likely next words may not be the most factually accurate. For this reason, you should not rely on the factual accuracy of output from our models. If you notice that output from our Services contains factually inaccurate information about you and you would like to request a correction or removal of that information, you can submit a request to info@aiforoil.com. We will consider your request based on applicable law and the technical capabilities of our systems.
To exercise these rights or ask questions about our privacy practices, contact us at info@aiforoil.com. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. You can clear conversation history on your device (e.g., via the "New chat" action or by clearing your browser data); to delete account data we hold, contact us.
6. Children
Our Services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected data from someone under 18, please contact us at info@aiforoil.com and we will take steps to delete it.
7. Security
We implement technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect Personal Data from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. This includes secure authentication, encryption in transit and at rest where applicable, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; you should use the Services responsibly and avoid sharing sensitive information that should not be processed by an AI system.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If we make material changes that affect how we use your Personal Data, we will provide additional notice (e.g., by email or a notice in the Services) where required by law. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
9. Additional U.S. state disclosures
Some U.S. state privacy laws require specific disclosures. The following summarizes categories of Personal Data we collect and how we use and disclose them. For more detail, see the sections above (e.g., "Personal data we collect," "How we use personal data," "Disclosure of personal data," and "Retention").
Categories we collect: Identifiers (e.g., name, email, IP address, device identifiers); account credentials and organization-related information; commercial information if you transact with us; internet or other network activity (e.g., how you use the Services, log data); the content you provide (e.g., prompts and context sent to the AI Assistant); and communications you send to us.
Use and disclosure: We use and disclose these categories as described in this policy—to provide and improve the Services, communicate with you, protect security, comply with law, and share with service providers and as otherwise set out in Section 3. We do not sell Personal Data. We do not share Personal Data for cross-context behavioral advertising (as defined under state laws).
Your state privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: know what Personal Data we collect and how we use and disclose it; request deletion of your Personal Data; request correction of your Personal Data; and be free from retaliation for exercising these rights. You can submit requests to info@aiforoil.com. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request. If you use an authorized agent to submit a request, we may require proof that the agent is authorized to act on your behalf. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to appeal a decision we make about your request; to appeal, contact us at the same address.
We do not process sensitive Personal Data (as defined under state laws) for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you.
